Steve Miller

HEAD COACH

Steve Miller played Division III college basketball at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA (1995-1999). He was part of the record-setting 1996-97 ECAC Championship team that was inducted into the ENC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022. Steve was named 1st Team All-Conference for basketball and baseball in 1999 and has been coaching youth basketball for over 20 years. For 5 years, he coached the Prospect Hill Academy boys basketball team (Somerville, MA) and was named league Coach of the Year for 2 consecutive seasons. He led the Faith Baptist Falcons to a school-record 13 wins in 2023-24 and led the Mavericks to a 13-10 record in their first season in 2024-25.

Daniel Ensor

ASSISTANT COACH

Daniel Ensor played basketball at Queen Anne's County High School where he was name Most Valuable Player of the men's varsity team during 2001-2002 season. His competitive drive continued beyond high school, as evidenced by his team’s championship victory in the Hoops on the Ave 35+ Division Tournament in Salisbury, Maryland (May 2023).

Daniel served as an assistant coach for the Faith Baptist Falcons, helping the team achieve a school-record 13 wins in the 2023-24 season.

Matt Swinehart

ASSISTANT COACH

Matt Swinehart, a former high school basketball and college tennis player, understands firsthand the power of competitive athletics to shape confidence, discipline, and teamwork.

Matt has coached youth sports for many years, including basketball, tennis, and flag football. Now in his second season with the ESH Mavericks, he is dedicated to helping players grow both on and off the court.

Matt strives to inspire each athlete to improve as a player, a teammate, and a person.

Outside of coaching, Matt is a web designer as well as a marketing and branding consultant.

Blair Andrews

HEAD COACH MIDDLE SCHOOL

Blair Andrews is the middle school head coach and an assistant with the varsity and JV teams. He played varsity basketball at Annapolis Area Christian School in Severn, MD (class of 2004), and has coached youth sports at various levels for many years. This season will be Blair's second year coaching with the Mavericks.

Blair's background in the sports data industry provides an analytical perspective on player and team development.
